Stephanie and Shlomo Franco, longtime visionaries in the hospitality world, left San Francisco in the late summer of 2020 in pursuit of a dream. When they discovered their residence in West Petaluma, they envisioned more than a home—they imagined an estate where beauty, celebration, and community could come together in perfect harmony.

After four years of meticulous collaboration with esteemed local architects and builders, their vision was realized with the creation of Shin Dig Sonoma and refined event venue perfect for outdoor intimate wedding ceremonies, receptions and milestone celebrations. This refined green Sonoma County event venue builds upon their earlier endeavor, Shin Dig San Francisco, an event-only wine bar that first brought their passion for curated gatherings to life.

The transformation of the property was a labor of love. More than 70 trees were gracefully relocated, an aging barn was removed, and 25 truckloads of earth were brought in to establish the foundation for a breathtaking newly constructed pool and 1,200 sqft covered pavilion with exposed beams. In 2025, the property was further enhanced with a flourishing garden, elegant edible hedging, two sweeping grand staircases, ADA decomposed granite pathways and an inviting fire pit that extends the gathering space from the pool.

At the heart of Shin Dig Sonoma is Stephanie and Shlomo’s genuine love of hosting events. Every detail of the outdoor intimate venue reflects their desire to share that passion—to create a space where guests feel welcomed, celebrated, and inspired.
